Van Vossen E-Boats is a Dutch family business founded in 1996, specialising in electric sloops and tenders. With 30 years of experience in electric boating, we now have more than 1,000 electrically powered boats on the water. We use this practical knowledge to design and build high-quality aluminium electric boats.
From a passion for boats to expertise in electric boating
It all began with Han and his father buying and selling small boats together. Their passion for the water and the possibilities of electric boating grew early on. They discovered that electric boating is not only cleaner and quieter, but also offers a whole new experience on the water.
We have worked with electric sightseeing boats since the early 2000s. Our expertise and innovation took shape in Giethoorn, where electric boating developed rapidly. Here we learnt what it takes to make boats run efficiently, quietly and reliably on electric power, from compact tenders to larger sightseeing boats.
A Dutch family business
Today, father, mother and son run Van Vossen E-Boats together. As a family business, we combine technical knowledge, organisational insight and forward-looking development. Each of us contributes to the same mission: taking electric boating to the next level.
